BLIS Northern Territory

The Business Licence Information Service (BLIS) is a free service that provides details of all licences you may require to operate your business in the Northern Territory, including Commonwealth and Local Government requirements. Whether you are running a business or thinking of starting one, BLIS will help you to find out easily which licences and permits you need for that business – or any other activities related to that type of business.

Codes of Practice

The Australian Codes of Practice Database is a free service that provides details about legislated codes of practice, standards, design rules and other requirements that may be necessary to operate your business. Details provided about each code include a brief description, applicable legislation and contact details for further information.

Other services

The Department of Business and Employment offers a number of other business related services through the network of Territory Business Centres.

All you have to do is give us a ring or take a short time out of your day to come into our office and let our friendly staff help you identify the information and services you need. If you live in one of the Territory’s remote areas without easy access to our regional offices, simply call our 1800 number and we’ll assist you over the phone.
